DOLLS HOUSE MINIATURE 12TH SCALE HANDMADE, WIZARD, APOTHECARY, SHOP, FOOD, DOLLS, OOAK, BOTTLES, JEWELLERY, TOILETRIES, WEDDING DISPLAYS.

All my books are a fully readable synopsis of the entire novel / story. The books measure approximately H25mm x W17mm D5mm. The pages are concertina style and I provide a free bookcover with each book. I have only started to make books and so far I have concentrated on those books which I want for my own dolls house. Therefore, if there is a special book you would like, I can make them to order. Please note that due to copyright law, I can only make books which do not breach the copyright laws of any country.

Kens Books are reproductions of originals and the wording (in most books) is therefore too small to read but as you can see, the pictures a clear and vibrant. Please note the scale is 12th but, some books are fairly large as they were originally. Please see the penny to guage the size of the book.

Erotic Artist`s Book. Circa. 1935

Illustrations from "Le Sopha" by Louis Icart

Livre d`artiste or artists` books, intended for the French market, first appeared in the "roaring twenties" as a result of close co-operation between the printer and artist, and although depicting female sensuality and sexuality they had become socially acceptable by this time. They are different to our normal concept of a book as they were usually (but not always) unbound and the loose pages protected in a slipcase. Prized by art patrons bound copies were frequently broken up to extract the prints for individual framing and `boudoir` display, and publishers soon met the market demand by producing loose copies of the artists` work.
